01

How this pack works

Each code is a 3–6 character prompt prefix you paste before your request. Example: "EL10: Explain machine learning". The pack contains: 12 codes with copy-ready templates, a sample input + sample output preview for each, quick modifiers (length, tone, format), chaining patterns (how to combine codes), and an 'infographic generation' prompt you can feed to an image generator to create a one‑page PDF. Use these as starting points and tweak for your context.

02

The 12 codes — templates, modifiers, examples

1) EL10 — Explain like I'm 10

Template: "EL10: Explain [TOPIC]. Use simple analogies, no jargon, max 150 words, one everyday example."

Example input: "EL10: Explain encryption."

Example output (preview): "Encryption is like locking a message in a box with a secret key..."

Modifiers: +analogy, +one-sentence-summary.

2) DLTR — Direct, low-talk, point-to-point

Template: "DLTR: [QUESTION]. Give 3 concise points, each ≤20 words."

Example input: "DLTR: How do I prepare a project brief?"

Preview: "1) Purpose: What problem are we solving. 2) Scope: Deliverables & timeline. 3) Stakeholders: Who signs off."

3) SUM5 — Summarize into 5 bullets

Template: "SUM5: Summarize [TEXT or URL summary]. Output: 5 bullets, numbered, each 10–12 words."

Example: "SUM5: Article about hybrid work policies."

Preview: "1) Core idea: Flexible hours improve retention..."

4) ACT3 — Action plan: 3 steps with owner & ETA

Template: "ACT3: For [GOAL], propose 3 actionable steps. For each: owner, timeline (x days), one risk."

Example: "ACT3: Launch MVP in 8 weeks."

Preview: "1) Define scope — PM — 7 days — risk: scope creep."

5) TLDR — Ultra-brief executive summary + 1-sentence use-case

Template: "TLDR: Condense [TEXT] to one-sentence summary + one-sentence suggested action."

Preview: "Summary: The report shows demand rising. Action: Increase production by 10% next quarter."

6) RPT — Rewrite for a target audience (3 variants)

Template: "RPT: Rewrite the following [TEXT] for [AUDIENCE]. Provide 3 tone variants: (1) Formal, (2) Conversational, (3) Social post (≤50 chars)."

Example: "RPT: Company privacy update → for customers."

7) PRO — Professional polish

Template: "PRO: Polish this text for a professional email. Keep meaning, improve clarity, reduce length by 20%."

Preview: polished email snippet.

8) CODEX — Generate runnable code with comments & a simple test

Template: "CODEX: Write [language] code to [TASK]. Include comments, error-handling, and a 2-line usage example/test."

Example: "CODEX: Python script to fetch JSON from an API and print keys."

Preview: includes try/except and usage sample.

9) PROMPT — Optimize this prompt for clarity & token efficiency

Template: "PROMPT: Improve this prompt for a language model: [YOUR PROMPT]. Output: (A) optimized prompt, (B) why changes help, (C) expected max tokens."

Example input: long, vague prompt; output: concise optimized version.

10) CRITQ — Critique & Improve (helpful on drafts)

Template: "CRITQ: Critique the following [TEXT]. List 4 issues and provide a corrected version emphasizing clarity, bias checks, and evidence needs."

Preview: issues + corrected paragraph.

11) ROLE — Roleplay as an expert with constraints

Template: "ROLE: Act as a [JOB TITLE/EXPERT] with X years experience. Answer [QUESTION] in [format], assume audience is [level]."

Example: "ROLE: Act as a senior UX researcher (10+ yrs). Suggest test plan in 5 bullets for a signup flow."

12) AIDA — Marketing copy using AIDA framework

Template: "AIDA: Create copy for [PRODUCT/OFFER]. Output: Attention (headline), Interest (2 lines), Desire (3 bullets), Action (CTA)."

Preview: short AIDA layout for a SaaS trial.

Quick modifiers (use after your request): "| concise", "| expand", "| 3-steps", "| email", "| twitter". Example: "DLTR: How to run a retro? | 3-steps | email"

03

Chaining & advanced patterns

Common patterns:

Clarify → Generate: PROMPT: "PROMPT: Optimize my prompt to ask for a blog outline about hybrid work." Then: ROLE or AIDA to produce final content.

Validate → Improve: CRITQ the draft → ACT3 to produce next steps.

Code workflow: CODEX to generate code → ask for unit tests with CODEX again.

Rules: keep each chain step explicit, include context copy (or reference by "see previous" only if within same session), and limit each step's output length to avoid token overrun.

Infographic / One‑page PDF generation instructions (use with image model)

Goal: single-page PDF A4 (portrait) or 1080x1350 px image you convert to PDF. Use the image-generation prompt below to create a branded infographic version of this pack. Include: header, grid of 12 codes (icon + 1-line use), 3 short examples, and QR linking to your landing page.

Image generation prompt (copy-ready): "Create a clean, professional A4 infographic titled 'Prompt Shortcut Pack — 12 ChatGPT Codes'. Top header with short tagline: 'Copy one and paste — stop long prompts.' Grid: 12 equal tiles, each tile shows code (large), one-line template, tiny example. Use a modern sans-serif, blue/teal primary color, accent orange, light gray background, minimal icons for 'idea', 'speed', 'polish', 'code'. Add a footer bar with small text: 'Generated from provided prompt pack — not an original PDF.' Include a QR code placeholder at bottom-right (label: 'Scan for templates'). Deliver flat PNG, 300 DPI, alt text describing layout."

Export steps: generate PNG, open in Canva or Google Slides, set page to A4, place PNG full bleed, export to PDF. Or use the image as page in any PDF tool.

Exercises & scoring rubric

Three quick exercises to internalize the pack:

1) Convert a long email into three formats: EL10, PRO, DLTR. Score: clarity (0–5), readability (0–5), accuracy (0–5). Target score ≥12/15.

2) Chain PROMPT → CODEX: Optimize a data‑pull prompt then generate code to save CSV. Score: functional correctness (0–10) by running code, comments quality (0–5).

3) Marketing test: Use AIDA to write a trial CTA, then run CRITQ. Score creativity (0–5), conversion clarity (0–5).

How to self-grade: test outputs on real recipients (peers) when possible, prefer measurable outcomes (clicks, comprehension tests).

06
